Interesting article. Now with this many pieces maybe we can figure out what the flood myth is supposed to really be describing. What there an actual flood and the myth developed around this actual event or is there other event that this myth developed to describe. The mystery continues.

There is a man who mapped out all the flood mythollogies..(Just saw this on HS2 ). They form a concentric circle around the Indian ocean. He has a pet theory of a comet or asteroid strike about 2000 BC.
There are also ancient (1200 yr +/-) Native American flood stories that corespond to an asteroid strike in the west.
I wish I could remember the guy's name.
