Hey guys, I just wanted to check in and say "hi" and see how everyone is doing...I honestly haven't had the mental capacity to engage with anything spiritual, and I've been honestly so angry and miserable with school that I haven't even wanted to think about God for the past several months.
I saw a while back that Soulgazer had passed away and that was another reason I haven't been around. It really hit me hard today that he's been such a huge mentor to me (as I'm sure he has been to many others) over the last seven years and I never got a chance to thank him or tell him how much it meant to me (although I'm sure he knows, hanging out somewhere in the pleroma).
If it hadn't been for discovering Gnostic Christianity and having some amazing teachers like James, I don't know where I'd be right now. I started reading about all this stuff at a time that was really difficult for me, and whether or I knew it or not I was at a point where I either had to reject the idea of God altogether, or find some way to understand God that wasn't so completely insane. And discovering the wisdom of all these teachings is probably about the only thing that has kept my head above water at times.
So anyway I hope you are all doing well, and if you can catch me up on what you guys have been up to and what has been going on around here. I hope to get back to posting and being engaged a bit over the summer break, now that I'm not so overwhelmed with stress.

Good to hear from you, Brett. I check the forum now and then and it seems to still have it's peace. Pastor Wood has kept the site up, but sometimes I believe it may be more for James eulogy. I don't have a way of knowing if the site gets hits or not. James did have a way with forums though and of course he had the time. Sometimes we get overwhelmed with life issues. But God is to never be second or not first thought every day. Do that and the overwhelming gets worse.
I'm glad you stopped by and let us know how you are. Keep your hope strong and your faith stronger. Those problems are not as big as they appear. Only as big as you decide to see them.
Dan

I'm still around. I've been working on an undergrad thesis that I just completed. I now have my bachelor's degree. I also have a surgery coming up soon on the 18 of this month. I'm sorry that I have let the forum go. It's still on my mind and I will be trying to see what I can do about getting more posts on here.

Good to hear from you xpistissopheiax! I've been really busy too over the past month or so. I started a second job which required a lot of training, as well as began the summer semester. Hope your surgery goes well Robert and congrats on you Bachelor's by the way. I'm gettn' there, 44 more credits to go! I can definitely relate to frustrations when taking on the archons of higher learning. Hang in there though, like with anything else, they throw all they got at you right before you reach a whole new level. Chasing your dreams is always worth it though. Good to hear from you too Phantasman, your nuggets of wisdom are always appreciated. This forum has been incredibly important to my spiritual growth so if only a handful of other people read or post on here, so be it!

May the Holy Spirit engulf you and those around you this day, the Father's will be done, mercy from the Lord and glory to him in Christs name.
