I was informed this evening by Rainbow Painter, Soulgazer's wife, that he had another stroke today. He is currently on morphine drip and he's currently in his final moments. He has impacted each of our lives in so many ways and though he is leaving us physically his spirit remains with us. He had such a joy and appreciation and understanding of the value of life that impacted us in so many ways. He has shine light in so many of our lives and we must remember that we carry that same light within us. May we shine that light and show the Christ that we know, just as he shared the Christ he knew. If anyone is needing to talk PM me for my phone number and I'll be sure to listen.
Update from Rainbow Painter: It is with a grieving and heavy heart that my <soulgazer>, the love of my life for 13 awesome years, has been called home to our Creator and Son of God this morning at 7am. He passed away peacefully with me and his loving companion Orion by his side. I thank everyone for all your love, respect, txts, phone calls and visits these past few difficult days as you have been a great comfort to me and Orion. Watson-North Funeral Home in Winchester are handling the cremation of his body for me and there will only be a private family gathering at a later date to honor his life and love.

I feel like I just got punched in the gut. I've really come to look up to James. I've been checking this site all day to see if he posted anything. Please give my regards to his wife. If you wouldn't mind, could you message me an address where I can send a card? I know who he truly is, is alive and well but .....it really hurts to know I can't hear his wisdom next Sunday or read another of his posts that always allowed me to see profound truths in a way that only he could. You're right Robert, I think we will all begin to recognize his unique spark (who he is) within us and around us now that he has pointed to it with who he was.............. uh I know that but all I feel right now is loss... and sadness for those who feel a much greater loss, yet as Soulgazer would always point out: that's the way with these monkey suits! Losing a friend always shows how temporal and meaningless so many things are that get pulled over our eyes to blind us of what matters......what matters is love. As I understood it, Soulgazer's theology was beautifully simple as well as profoundly complex: if something is not love, it is not from God. The complexity comes from all which that simple requirement negates which we assume (or are told) come from God. Soulgazer could have worded this whole thing in a couple of sentences and included some much needed humor as well! You will be missed here in the kenoma my friend!

It is through James that I learned so much. He is my personal perfect elder. Even before this forum we communicated on another. He is a wise man and offered a lot.
He understands the transition, has prepared for it materially and spiritually and doesn't fear it. He once remarked that he would be happy in one little spot in the corner of heaven. I pray he is given the "feast of feasts" and will reside in the greatest of greatness.
Tama and I share the sorrow and pray the family the Fathers grace and the Spirits' comfort. The loss will be ours.
Dan and Tama Lightfoot

That's true: ... I'm all tears Soulgazer was key to my progress in all the communication and discussion. I love people who are able to discuss and communicate. I owe it to some, including him, to keep striving. It also feels bad to be late not being able to say goodbye.

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Soulgazer passed away this morning around 7:00am-7:30am CST. Soulgazer has continued his journey and has moved out of this world. This was the words Rainbow Painter had to say:

I am literally at a loss for words. So many things that I left unsaid/unasked. My heart goes out to you rmcdra, considering Soulgazer meant so much to you.

While Soulgazer has moved on, neither Alpha & Omega nor Unorthodox Christians is going anywhere. We're keeping this site up. This is our community and it will live on past those who started it. If it doesn't then it was never alive in the first place.

It is the quality and not the quantity that dictates this sites success. I am glad to hear that this sanctuary remains. If I can do anything to aid you Pastor, feel free to contact me.
