I haven't been posting in a while but I still lurk about, so long time no see guys. I know this is more a discussion forum but I didn't think anyone would mind if I asked. If you wouldn't mind sparing some time in your prayers for my younger brother I would appreciate it. He is in ICU with a brain bleed and a broken leg after trying to protect a younger kid in our neighborhood from being assaulted. They operated last night successfully but we still don't know how things will be when they wake him up later today. He is a great guy and willingly put himself in harms way to look out for someone who couldn't look out for them self.

Sounds like your brother has one hell of a light shining in the darkness.......and no matter what, the darkness cannot overcome it (to paraphrase my favorite line from the Gospel of John). He will be in me and my family's prayers!

Thank you for your continuing prayers everyone. He is much better today! They moved him out of ICU and he is eating, drinking, and talking. He remembers everyone and even now remembers the event. Unfortunately we now believe several witnesses may be lying to protect the man that assaulted him, the sad thing is that the man only managed to over power him because my brother was intentionally showing restraint as he did not want to hurt him. But the main thing is that he is recovering quickly, though he has a long road ahead they believe he will make a full recovery.
