So I have sort of fallen of here lately, life has been rather hectic. I mean to get started studying again and was wondering if anyone here had recommendation on particular "gnostic" texts that tend to get you motivated or grab at you for whatever reason. I am thinking of starting back up with a thorough read of John.

I have always been partial to "The Gospel of Truth".

I always liked the Exegesis on the Soul. So profound on our journey in this world and how trust in the Christos can bring about our redemption and gnosis.

I agree about Sylvanus!: Teachings of Silvanus is always a good read. Personally, I'm going to study Ptolemy (Valentinians) sometime in the future when the price of the book by Ismo Dunderberg has come down and I've again become a bank customer that has a debit card (without added currency exchange fee of course!). So far I haven't found much else. I was to a university library in April in another City, and looked.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, The gospel of Truth, Exegesis on the Soul, and The teachings of Silvanus it is. Any recommendations on an order to read them in?

Thanks for the recommendations guys, The gospel of Truth, Exegesis on the Soul, and The teachings of Silvanus it is. Any recommendations on an order to read them in? The order I have them in my unofficial canon is: The Teachings of Silvanus, The Gospel of Truth, and Exegesis on the Soul; but any order is fine.
