I am a traditional orthodox protestant or so I thought. This was until I was on CF and revealed I was a Freemason. The these people who don't know me slam me and call me a heretic. I was wondering if anyone else here was surprised to learn they were not saved according to internet judges? I have become much more accepting of Christians who don't agree with me 100% from this experience. So what what your experience?

People sometime get hung up on being called a heretic. We need to remember everyone is a heretic to someone else, it is all a matter of perspective.

Wasn't the word "heretic" coined from the catholics as someone who didn't follow the "holy catholic church" and taught something that went against it's doctrine?
Even Martin Luther could have been called a heretic in his time.

It wasn't a shock to me when I started to reject parts of the Bible, that people would say I'm not "saved."
People worship their own opinions more than they serve God, that is that surprised me more than ever being called a heretic.
