When Cain slew Abel, is it possible we see two individuals, Abel being one who understood the spiritual God and defined his physical over Cain who was spiritually ignorant giving in to his ignorant God?
Is the story a physical action between two Gods? The demiurge being the prince of the physical. Then throughout history, the followers of the ignorant God have been murderers only in the physical, not spiritual. Christ saying "you have followed a liar and murderer from the beginning". Before the proverbial flood, Cains side murdering Seths physically. Then after the flood, Ham discovers "Cain-an". And this battle continues. And even today, the self appointed prophet Muhammad has groups of Cain-anites murdering the sons of the spiritual God by using physical death as a belief in conquering. Muslims killing Jews/Christians. All in who's God is more powerful/right.
Just another thought.

I can't say. It probably wasn't written that way, but it sure fits these days.
