I gave up for the best

Hopefully Pastor Wood will post some more of his wonderful sermons here.

I have been observing Matthew 18:20 with an attempt at more clarity lately.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

When the disciples were sent by Christ, he sent them in two's. They came to the masses in the name of Christ. Were the masses who didn't know Christ gathered in a "name" that was not yet? This would answer whether Christs intent is for the teachers coming in his name (understanding) is what he meant, over the Orthodox belief that the assemblies themselves are what Christ is referring to. It would explain why, when one man teaches, we are endangered of following (a) man rather than Christ.

If one man starts a church or an idea of one (assembly) without John 13:35 to show it, is it started by Christ or blind ambition?

"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."

The knowledge of the name is shared, and Christ is present when two understand. If the assemblies are there to learn the name, how is a one man leader effectively in the power of Christs name, and how does he show his love for another in his name if the assemblies do not know the name?

This site shares a love I can detect between SoulGazer and Pastor Wood. Of course, we cannot physically see a love between them, and they agree on the name of Christ. This is much more a scriptural testimony than a site started by a man who entertains followers. Like CF, even the followers disagree with each other. Over 3000 personal blogs are debated and attacked on a daily basis. Is this knowledge of the name, or many one man spectacles of confusion....ignorance?

Here, one can detect as closely as possible (on the Internet) an arena of patience, freedom, love. SG was even patient with a few who deemed to test this arena. In the end, there comes a time that even lovingly, the shepperd must identify the wolves in sheeps clothing, and send him away for the protection of the sheep.

If one person teaches another they follow the teacher. How often do we get the image of Irenaeus love for Ignatius, or Justin Martyr? Eusebius for Constantine? Christ never said how one man loves another. He said the love they had one to another. This "one"ness is what we seek to teach us. And I believe the catholics Orthodoxy made "one" a church of monad, rather than combining two effectively as Christ said.
